Finding Your Strength

There is a very real need in all of us to seek strength both within and outside ourselves. With patience we press a pause and thumb our hunger, our hopes in some momentum - in our work, our family, our friends, our bodies, our intentions, values and interactions.
With time, we come to recognise a full spectrum of very human emotions and responses. We begin to see ourselves in those around us. We draw courage and strength in compassion, in resonance and in a shared experience.
Whatever the obstacle, the reality - you are not alone. There is always someone that is, has or is about to share your experience - and likely that some highly valuable guidance or tool may come through this accord. There is always a commonality to meet with - be in grief, confusion, uncertainty, loss, fear, anxiety. There is no situation you can go through that someone else has, is or will not go through too.
In this way, there is always strength to be found. When we feel starved and isolated we divide ourselves and cut out the opportunity for connection and ultimately, peace.
A peaceful existence accepts the reality of uncertainty, of losses and gains, highs and lows, rough and calm waters. Still, as human beings we have to live through and experience these for ourselves. To skip or avoid these moments would leave us unable to empathise, resolve and move through the natural challenges and disruptions of life.
Finding our strength is rooted in sourcing our own resilience, whilst recognising the collective, shared and multi-lithic components of the paths we take and the lives we live.
No life is without failure, deviation or turbulence. That is simply the human condition that no woman or man can avoid. Better to accept the efforts we make as brave and the lessons we draw as fortifying and try to impress on others and ourselves a sense of resourcefulness, companionship and resilience as we all transit together - in all weathers, seasons and stages.
