Honour Your Calling

The body has a way of guiding the path and creating the opportunities one most needs to move and be moved. Listen actively to that calling.

Restlessness is ancestral, plays with ancient patterns and creates a moving home in us all. We can only respond to that calling by listening, moving and trusting that the balance will be met and we can meet our destinies straight down the middle.

A need for destination can deepen and define all the most important parts of ourselves. Our vocations are there to instil and draw out a commitment and honouring of the soul. Our callings also serve us in an acceptance of our limits, potential and resources.

We must each respond to the calling within. And find those parts of ourselves we wish to hold onto and let go of that which no longer nourish, exert or stimulate our movement.

Life is an act of pilgrimage - an unfolding and an undoing. Only from being undone can we mature and develop and spin out towards our places of rest. Restlessness is part of finding home. part of responding to our calling and part of landing back into ourselves.

There is a tendency to look outside for that which is truly meaningful. It is a wonder and bewilderment that carves out distant scores, untapped and untaught lands for us to encounter with. In all this, we might forget to breathe or to live in the very moment. To consume life as it unfolds and unpins The world is wild, playful and wanting to be met by us - with warmth, connection and clarity. Each day we are drawn out of sleep and spun into the fields to find, forage and feed. To dip and dream and busy our bodies with life.

Being lost is part of being found. Being hungry is part of being fed. Being broken is part of being put back together.

If we are honest enough and willing to confront those parts of ourselves that feel overwhelming, that feel heavy, uncomfortable or even burdensome, we are on an honest path to clearing the body and the soul - and living a more balanced, truthful and peaceful life.
